I finally got to get back to work today. Had my monthly report with my supervisor and asked her why I haven't been moved up to full time, she basically told me what I already knew. I have to work harder. Be more aggressive and make sales. So it has become apparent to me that I shall never be moved up to a full timer. I say this because I know that I am just not a very good salesgirl. I'm always saving my customers as much money as possible and giving them more time. Not false hope mind you, just more time. This is bad for a salesperson, I know this. It just bothers me that my job is all about numbers. They say it's not, that it's about people, and I wish that were true, but it is not and it's sad.

I had a week off and have put in a few applications. I hope to hear from someone soon.

Anyyyywayyyyy, enough belly aching. Mas's birthday is on tuesday and we are both working. Sadness I know, but birthdays just aren't big anymore. He doesn't like a lot of attention anyway and I don't want to embarass him because I hate that shit too. Big partys n'what not. We'll probably just go out for dinner and maybe watch Up. I got him a Black Lantern tee. I couldn't wait to give it to him so I gave it to him today. He loved it of course. He is a huge Green Lantern (Guy Gardner) fan and when all these new lantern colors starting coming out he immediately became a Black Lantern fan. I can't wait to get myself a Sapphire tee. I remember the first time I had heard of Star Sapphire, I thought "Wow! She looks awesome!". Then they made her super trampy looking and that put a bad taste in my mouth. However, she looked awesome in Justice League Unlimited. That costume was killer and Olivia D'iabo voiced her beautifully. So thanks to that series, I'm still a very big fan of Star Sapphire. Oh man, and now that X-Men the animated series is on DVD now, that would also make a most excellent gift for my guy.

So sad that I had to miss "Meet in the Middle" today. I really wanted to go out there and support the community. It amazes me how ignorant the valley truly is. They are going to feel so foolish. It truly makes me sad. Since I was a very little one, I have never trusted the church. Half of my family members are hardcore church goers and as much as I love them, I know they are seriously ill. I've seen and heard some dark and disturbing shit going on with the spawn of the head of the churches. And the leaders themselves are sometimes worse. Actually, most times. I'm just sayin'. Which brings me to Religulous. Most excellent film. Please, go watch it now if you haven't already.

The other day.

I had made an entry but got distracted. Didn't save it or publish it so it's gone. I know I was complaining about work or something along that line. Anyway, not gonna worry about it. So I'm not working this week because the shop is going through a dry spell it seems. So I've got a whole week to think about the big picture. I suppose I'm gonna go looking around for a second job and maybe just maybe look into going back to school. I know it's too late at this point to register and all that jazz, so I'm just gonna shop around. We shall see. Other than that, all I've done tonight was add a bunch of dvds to my que on netflix and listen to Lalo Guerrero wondering if I had any relatives who were zoot suiters. That'd be pretty cool. I'm not a particular fan of the look itself, but I love that it was a part of my mexican american heritage. I just really love my culture. Well, I suppose that is all for now. Perhaps later today I'll make another post about the meeting at work today.

saw something pretty funny today, or atleast I thought it was cute. Ya know how schools like to tie ribbons on the fences to spell things and sometimes they use plastic cups. Well the school I pass every morning spelled out hope in purple cups on the chain linked fence. today it said poop. made me smile. god bless juvenile delinquents. (I'm pretty sure both words are spelled incorrectly.) Anyway, wish i had time to take a picture of it.

Just found this over at the good ol' Dumb Drum. A Fresno based blog believe it or not. Pretty entertaining and they always supply me with trailers of mostly good movies. Anyway this one put a smile on my face and I can't wait to see it. It looks adorable.

So, here is what's been going down lately.

Been working too much at a job I really don't like. Everyone who has a job probably feels that way. They give me full time hours and keep me over almost everyday I'm there, but they refuse to move me to full time because my sales aren't high. So whatevs. They can suck a tit.

Been going to the movies and watching movies at home. Too lazy to list my recent views. Actually the only thing I can remember watching was The Jerk and Fast and the Furious. The Jerk = wonderfullllllll. Fast and the Furious = meh, give me more cars foo. So yeah.

Feeling kind of sad I guess. There are a couple of things I'd like to go to in the coming weeks. This friday possibly a little pop show, and then mid may the San Fran pop festival. Probably not gonna get to go. To the festival most likley not, this friday, still working on it. Need someone to go with. The mister has to work and I don't want to go alone. But I just might have to. Has no friends :|

Let's see what else I can complain about. Hmm, that seems about it. Saving up for another car, but friend Dustin says I should get an xbox first. I'm thinking he may be right.

Well I guess that's all for now.

It just occured to me that there are no Panaderia's in my area. For those who do not know what that is, it's just a mexican bakery. When I was living in Mendota, bread vans were passing all day. My favorite panaderia was El Nopal. Oh my golly, they had the freshest most tastiest bread ever. The conchas were to die for. Seriously, you couldn't have just one, and they were so cheap too! Sure the Arsenios at the Valero station has churros and Jack in the Box is selling mini churros, but dang, it'd be nice to buy some good pandulce for once. It's been so long, I guess I'm just going to have to travel across town to get it. I started thinking about panaderia's because we're having a mexican food potluck at work and instead of donuts or something pandulce would have been nice to take. I remember trying to ask the breadman for El Nopal how they made the breads, but my spanish was so bad he would just laugh and say thank you. He was super nice too. Oh well. Really wishing I had the baking skills for pandulce. I could make bank here in my mostly white side of town.

Gonna watch Wild Zero now. I have not ever seen it and it's been recommended to me many times already.

So I got a new camera! weeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Yeah, and it's blue...ish. It get's the job done. Tried to get a good picture of little magic, but he kept blinking because of the flash. Came out pretty funny actually. I think I shall post them tomorrow when I'm feeling less lazy. Also, the car got a nice new coat of paint too. It's now black instead of red. And we got some nice seat covers and I put some Nightcrawler iron on patches on the head rests. they look kick ass! So the car has 4 names now. It is now Kurt Wagner AKA Nightcrawler AKA Little Magic AKA Wolfie. I know, we're dumb/lame. We named our car. :| Anyway its nice and it's got some nice rims now too. Now I've got to work on getting another car. One for myself. Everything seems to be shared, and that's great and all, but ya know.

The Blue Hearts - Linda Linda

Oh yeah! Finally got to watch Linda Linda. It was great. If you don't mind subtitles and enjoy japanese school girls stuff, this movie is fantastic. It's about these high school girls. It's their senior year and they need a lead singer for the talent show. They end up asking this Korean foreign exchange student girl and it's just so sweet. They play their own insturments and not so bad either (I'm looking at you josey and the pussycats movie :| ) It's just a great story about friendship and music. I just really enjoyed it.

Work has been alright I suppose. One of my bosses told me I am now an "asset" to the company, which I suppose means I'm doing well? I don't know. I guess no matter what job I end up with, I'm still going to absolutely hate people. Nothing can change that. People are stupid and lame and that will never ever change.

I think there may be something in my house that is making me sick. I have yet to recover from this scratchiness in my throat. I haven't gone to see a doctor about it and I guess it's about time that I do. It's been like this since November and I'm not getting the slightest bit better. It really sucks. I guess it can be mold or something, but I also sleep next to the window and it's really cold there. Whatevs. Warmer weather seems to be creeping in so maybe when it get's warmer, I'll get better. Well I guess that's it for now. Til next time.

Wowzaz.

I just can't bring myself to update my vox frequently. I think perhaps it is because I have to share the computer with someone who likes to be on it far more than I do. And last weekend I was so burned out, I didn't even touch the laptop. Also, I really miss having a camera. Might be getting one pretty soon too. The mister and I were saving up for a new car and had a pretty good amount saved up, but then decided to just take over payments on his mom's car. Gonna spend most of the money saved to spruce it up. Like paint and rims and what not. He's pretty excited about it. Didn't think he was a car type kinda guy. Anyway, it's gonna look ballin' when we're done fixing it up. Sooooo with the left over cash I'm gonna get a nice new little camera for myself and perhaps some additions to my sad sad wardrobe.

WENT TO SEE WATCHMEN!! Yeahhhhh boy. It was awesome. Really, you can't take my word for it though. I love everything. Don't listen to a word I say. It was great. I was so excited and I think I was grinning throughout the whole film. The only thing that disappointed me were the previews before the film. I had already seen them online and when they showed it wasn't new to me. Kinda wish I hadn't peeked. I think I would have geeked out a whole lot more seeing Cyclops in the Wolverine preview. Anyhow! back to the movie. People giggled at Dr.Manhattan's blue peepee. Soooo immature. (I just said peepee) LOVED the opening credits. Beautiful. Didn't think the makeup for Silk Spectre was good though as an old lady. Then again, she's a character from a comic book. So I'm not gonna ask for perfection. I'm not one of those a-holes. Wander if they'll have stuff on The Black Freighter in the DVD extras. That'd be awesome. The Night Owl coulda been fatter, but then again we were gonna have to see a sex scene with him and I guess nobody really wants to see jiggly ass and belly on a dude boning a pretty lady. wait a minute, that's porn isn't it? nasty dude pretty lady. So yeah, it was great. Rorschach! omgomgomg. Jackie Earle Haley was incredible. Kicked ass. Can't wait to see it again. The theater we went to had five screens showing so it was nice not to be packed to full capacity for once. Lot's of couples too. It was like date night or something. So yeah. That's what I've been up to.
