Yeah, I totally waited in the line that snaked around the theater too. It seems that almost all of the theaters completely sold out on all their screens for the midnight showing. We managed to get some tickets at our favorite theater and had to wait in line for some time. It wasn't too long of a wait though. There were only two screens showing at our theater so when we got it they told us we could go in either one we chose. 1 or 16. I chose 16 and when we walked in, the ushers were saying that people were boxing in room 1. And the other dude was like "boxing? what do you mean?" and the other usher was like " yeah man, their boxing. fighting, you know, with fists" Anyway, I thought that was funny. I wonder what they were fighting about. Probably something stupid. So yeah, when we got in we had to sit near the front. It wasn't so bad. I prefer the back that way no one is kicking my seat. The a-hole behind me did start to kick my seat, but it gradually stoped once the movie started.
I must say, I was mildly disappointed in the audience. It seemed like there were a lot of a-holes who didn't even know what they were there to see. Like, they just came out because it was the "thing to do" or something. And when the Watchmen preview came on, S and I totally geeked out and we could hear a couple of people do the same. Everyone else was like "huh? whas dat?" I dunno, I hope that doesn't make me a snob, but dang people. hah, actually that does kind of make me an a'hole doesn't it? Hmm. I still think those abercrombie bitches are more of a-holes that I am. Anyyywayyyyy. yeah I like a more enthusiastic crowd when it comes to things like this. It makes it an experience rather than just another movie. So yeah, totally got a glimpse of the Watchmen. It's gonna be epic. I was in awe of it. Truly in awe. I can't wait!
OH yeah, and Batman. It was fantastic. Then again, I'm not really to be trusted to critique this one. I don't go to see movies I'm not gonna like. That way I'm not TOO disappointed. So, yeah I was totally ready to be satisfied and I was. It delivered exactly what I thouht it would. Erin Eckhart as Dent was great. Maggie Gyllenhal was great. I LOVE Christian Bale and Gary Oldman. Heath Ledger did a most excellent job as Joker. He was terrifying, yet he made me giggle. I kept looking for a blonde blue eyed girl though. Ya know, Harley. heh, probably not likley to ever happen, but I thought it'd be nice to just get a glimpse of her. It was weird too how they never really show commissioner Gordon's daughter. So yeah, it was a great movie experience and I'd love to go and see it again.
Oh yeah, I do have one movie under my belt I'm ashamed of. Went to see Journey to the Center of the Earth. It was Gawdawful. Terrible. Don't go see it!!! Please! We only went to get the whole 3D experience. Which was kind of disappointing. I hope to God they don't make ALL movies in 3D. It's really not necessary.
So yeah, I waste a lot of money on movies. But I sneak my own candy in. Dang it. Heck yeah.
So for the past couple of weeks I've been watching a movie here and there. I went to see wall-e, kung fu panda, and hellboy 2! Yup. And they were ALL awesome.
I'm not good at reviews so I'm not even going to try. All I will say is to go and see them all. I was not disappointed what so ever. Then again, I love pixar movies, I love talking animal movies, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Guillermo Del Toro. So yeah. I guess I'm kind of biased. ^.^
I wish that I was good with words, but alas, I'm terrible. Wall-E and Kung Fu Panda were simply adorable. Lovely just lovely. And Hellboy, well, I loved the first one and I knew I was gonna like the second. It's just fantastic and so rich. I love Guillermo Del Toros mind. I can't wait for his notebooks to get published. Speaking of notebooks, my bf watched this one day while he was super bored at work and decided that I'd probably like it. ya know, because I'm a girl and I like girly things. Well I kept saying "no way jose" and he was all like "your gonna like it Emelia, you like Jane Austen, your gonna like the Notebook." Well, he was right. I mean I didn't want to watch it, really, I was soooo against watching it just because he knew I would like it. Anyway, it's pretty sweet and romantic and yada yada yada. I'll just say the ending is SO sad. But not. I don't know, you'd just have to watch it. I kept my composure throughout the movie, but at the end, it was like a volcanic eruption of tears. Yeah, I'm a dork. Up next, BATMAN! and then CLONE WARS!!!! ee!
It's gonna be AWESOME!
Well, I had four days to do whatever the hell I wanted. What did I do you ask!? Well I shall tell.
I mostly stayed in bed, watched season three of Dragon Ball Z. (most excellent ^.^) and fiddled around with our new electro harmonix bass synthesizer pedal. Now, I know I had planned to be more productive. I wanted to sew myself a summer dress, but was strapped for cash to get fabric, and all our nice sheets aren't nice anymore. I wanted to start my painting, but I don't have a comfortable place to start it. I need to figure out a way to make our garage more comfy and less hot as hell. However I did write the iji article for whm AND started a jogging routine. Although, I'm only starting off with 30 minutes a day, but hey, it's something. So yeah. DBZ season three pretty much kicked ass. Vegeta is a cold ass mofo, but he rules. I love doing Vegeta impressions. Freeza is creepy. Actually, most of the villains on DBZ are prett creepy. Cell was hella creepy.
Well, I guess that's all for now.

She rules. Hard.
Yeah, I'm still kickin'. Not up to much though. Been working I guess. But I got the next 4 days off and I guess I'll start working on some shit I've been meaning to get around to and maybe even start looking for a new job too. Something closer to home. Anyway here's my list of shit to do. The STD as I like to call it.
1st - write that iji article for whm. once i get some about info from them, I'm so on it. Gonna try and make this one nice and legit.
2nd - start that aztec painting for my cousin adam. he's been really great about it too. it's been almost a year and he hasn't said anything to me about it. i guess he thinks i forgot, but sadly I haven't which makes it all the more horrible. I've just been too lazy. I know, I'm not a very good cousin. So yeah, gotta get that done.
3rd - I've got to do some practice sewing. Maybe make a summer dress or something. Easy.
And lastly, gotta work on getting some music out. I need a new adapter for my tape recorder. I'm considering doing some solo junk, but I'm a bit timid about it. I guess sometimes I think I'm "hot shit" but have recently been told that I am so not. So yeah, been feeling down about that. But I'll cheer up as I usually do.
Anyway, been wanting to go see Kung Fu Panda. But I think I'm gonna wait until Dark Knight Returns comes out. Pretty excited. I loves me some Batman. And Christian Bale and Heath Ledger (may he R.I.P.) and Gary Oldman, whom I still find wildly attractive. Why? I don't know but he's yummers for a geezer. So yeah, that's whats up.
My day started off super awesome. I went to GC and as gonna finally buy the used SVT I had been eyeing. I had the guy play it for me first though. It had an awesome sound and I was completely sold after I heard it. So yeah, I bought it. It actually looks so much better here in my room, than on display at GC. I guess we have given it new life. ^.^ Anyway, so S dropped me off at work right after. The big bosses were there so I had to impress. I sort of didn't at first, but then my day got better and I made a shit load of sales. yay me. Got out at 10 and when I got home S asked if I wanted to go see the first showing of The Incredible Hulk. My reply? "Hells yeahs!!" So we gathered up the boys and headed out. We're in a whole new side of town and it's kind of Ritchie Rich. But it was a good crowd and the new theater was really nice. Oh man, it is sooooooooooooo good. Marvel has got their shit together. Fo Sho. Anyway, I won't give anything away. Just go out and see it, it is a MUST SEE. For realsies. Edward Norton was great, Liv Tyler was great! They are both so sweet. I loved the relationship in this one. I mean, they are scientist. Soft spoken sweet and awesome. ^.^ Then Norton totally Hulks out! It's awesome. From start to finish. Hurry Go Go Go!
Am I weird for having a massive crush on this dude?!
Swoooooon.
Oh shit, I forgot to mention a few things. Got to see some previews. X Files! Hellboy 2! Star Wars Clone Wars!!!! omgomgomg. Hellboy looks so fucking amazing I could hardly contain myself. I think I had a grin the size of California. I love you Guillermo DelToro. You are my hero:D And I don't even need to express the happiness within me about Clone Wars. Fuck, yesturday truly did rule hard. sigh sigh sigh.
I'm so happy ^.^
I just made 2 count them 2! weheartmusic posts. in one night mind you! That's probably all that will come out from me for like 5 months. Nah, I'm gonna try a bit harder to be more interactive. Because I've been a total jerk. Sorry Vu. I'm on the hunt for some juicy pop and whenever I find something I'll post it. I can't do it any other way. I'm just a jerk that way I guess. Maybe that's why I don't have a lot of friends.
Later!
S had a gig yesturday and a week before we were trying to get an Ampeg SVT cab for the show. Unfortunatley nothing came up and we settled for a B series 4x10 HE. We bought it used and pretty much for it's used blue book value. We ended up spending alllll our cash on it (which wasn't much to begin with) and were pretty much living off cup o noodles for a week straight. Welllllll, while I was at work, S went to Guitar Center to pick up the cable for the cab. He decided to check out the used gear section and guess what he found? And Ampeg SVT 4x10. As soon as I got home I called up to see if we could do a trade. Now, his gig was the next day and we had to try to get that amp right there and then. When I called I was told to take my cab so they could evaluate it. When I got there I spoke to a guy named Junior who said words like "uber" and "mondo". So he was pretty obnoxious. I mean he was nice n'all, but c'mon dude, uber? Alright, so he had me waiting out in the used section for what felt like forever while he "crunched the numbers". Finally he said they would only buy it from me for 125 bucks. I was uber disappointed. I mean the svt was only a hundred bucks more than the one we bought. Usually guitar center doesn't really have anything I ever want in the used section and this one fucking time they just HAD to have the exact cab we needed. So yeah, pretty disappointing. S's birthday is coming up and I don't really know what to get him. I found this sweet ass Cyclops patch today at the local comic shop. I was gonna save it until his birthday, but I was so excited that I ended up giving it to him right there in the car. I can't keep secrets that cool!!! He loves Cyclops ^.^ There are these pretty cool shoes he was into a week ago, so maybe I'll just buy him those. I know he'll love them. So yeah. It's decided. Well, I guess that's all for now. I'm gonna go take a shower and go to sleep I guess. Nighty night.
